Prof. Tran Trung Dung finished his training as a medical student in Hanoi Medical University in 2000 and continued to be a resident doctor at VietDuc University Hospital from 2001 to 2004. In 2011, he received his PhD degree from Hanoi Medical University. In 2012, he took on the role of Head of Orthopedic Division, Faculty of Surgery, Hanoi Medical University. He was later appointed as Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery in 2015 and Professor of Orthopedic Surgery in 2020 by The State Council for Professorship and Hanoi Medical University. Before joining Vinmec Healthcare System as the Director of Center for Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, Chairman of Orthopedic Department in College of Health Science, VinUniversity and Director of 3D Technology in Medicine Center, he also served as the leaders of some organization, for example: Head of Orthopedic Surgery Department and Vice Director of St Paul Hospital, Deputy President and General Secretary of Hanoi Association of Surgery, Chairman of Surgery Management Board of Hanoi Health Department and Vice Head of Department of Orthopedic, Neurosurgery and Spine Surgery in Hanoi medical University Hospital. He had a very strong passion with bone and joint surgery, therefore he spent time to get knowledge and experience from some center in Australia, Korea, Japan, Thailand,… He is a member of many professional societies: American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine, Asia Pacific Orthopedic Association, Asian Pacific of Knee, Arthroscopy and Sport Medicine Surgery and Vietnam Orthopedic Association.
