This chapter examines the discrepancies between sustainable tourism planning and the actual allocation and utilization of resources for development. Focusing on Ðắk Lắk province in South-central Vietnam, the study highlights its significance as the most populous province in the Central Highlands, boasting the highest ethnic diversity in the country, with 49 out of 54 ethnic minority groups residing there. The region's rich cultural resources are deeply rooted in the lifestyles of these ethnic groups, which have traditionally lived in harmony with the area's mountainous landscapes, highlands, and powerful rivers and waterfalls.en_US
